This time The Pivot Series interviewed Nikita Abed, the emerging face of third-generation business, Abed’s. Known as Barbados' leading fabric retailer, the company has woven its way into the lives of Barbadians with its wide offering of quality fabrics, home decor, bespoke furniture, and accessories, as well as its community involvement and support for the creative industries.
With a growing online presence and a third location opening this year, Abed’s has managed to pivot, while staying true to its roots and values, and as the company’s Brand Director, Nikita is playing a significant role in this transition. During her interview she also shares with us some behind the scenes information from the well-known company that is soon turning 60 years old and tells us how she manages to keep expanding Abed’s while preserving the legacy of the company.
